Daily Practices

What should I write daily?

I like to write down everything that I am grateful for twice a day - once in the morning and once before bed. This practice keeps our minds focused on those people, places, or events that bring us joy. When we are joyful, we are in a better frame of mind to make decisions, relate to others, and help our day be better.

Some thoughts to consider and get you started:

Who or what makes you smile just by thinking of them or it?

Spouse?

Friend?

Child?

Vacation?

Parent?

Pet?

Location (woods, lake, castle, etc.)?

Silly situation?

You might start of simply with something like: I am grateful that I have shoes on my feet. Then you might work toward something more complex like: I am grateful that I met my spouse because he/she completes me ways I never knew I was missing. Journal for as long as you can and as long as you like. Do this for 30 days, once in the morning and once at night. Let me know if you can tell a difference in your mind set. I'd love to hear your results!
